Qardiocore
Background Information:

1. Background of Qardio
Marco Peluso and Rosario Iannella founded Qardio in 2012 that “transformed the healthcare industry” with easier, intelligent and more practical solutions for everyone (Qardio, n.d.). Qardio comes out with intelligent healthcare products such as the QardioArm, QardioBase and the recently QardioCore.

2. About QardioCore
QardioCore was first introduced in the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2015. However, it was only first available for pre-order in 2017. QardioCore is the first wireless wearable patchless electrocardiogram (ECG) device that enable its consumer to monitor their heart activity. Qardio states that the biometric information collected by QardioCore will be “transmitted wirelessly” to the smart devices. The data will then be sent to the Qardio Cloud, which enables the doctors and patients to view the results. Qardiocore not only perform ECG on users, however, it also measures the skin temperature, respiratory rate as well as activity tracking. These enables the heart health practitioners to gain a better insight on their patient’s health.
Problem statement: The ideal ECG device should allow the users to access the data easily. Currently, Qardiocore is only integrated with Apple health that allows the user to share the data with other applications that are integrated with Apple health. Qardiocore will need a platform to allow users to retrieve the data easily.

Purpose statement: The purpose of the report is propose an implementation of a mobile or an online application that enables to retrieve data easily from the QardioCore. This implementation will able to enhances Qardio’s revenue.

Solution: In order to allow both Apple and Android users to retrieve the data easily, it is recommended to have an online application. Through the implementation of the mobile application, it will be able to attract more variety of users.

  • By having an online application, users can access their data without finding an Apple product.
  1. Cater to more users:
  • As there is a mixed variety of Apple and Android users, it will attract more consumers to purchase the product.
  • Healthcare professionals are also able to keep track of more patients’ health data and provide medical advices and treatment if necessary.
  1. Wide variety of usage:
  • Exercise equipments will be able to provide a real-time data to the users. This will enable the user to analyse the data and further improve on their physical performance.
  1. Ease of usage:
  • By having the application, it will not only restricted to the Apple users but also enable Android users to access the data.
  1. Up to date application:
  • By having both Apple and Android applications, it allows Qardio to get more users’ feedbacks to help them further improvise their application to better serve the users.

Conclusion:
  • In conclusion, by having the online application, it will benefit both the users and Qardio.
